The Remedy: Illness Tea Blend
This blend was formulated with the intention of being an ally during acute illness and support during cold & flu season.
Firstly, the energy that an illness such as the cold or flu brings with it to the body is considered cold and wet. The best way to combat that is by counteracting the illness’ energy with something opposite. This balanced combination of herbs comes with the ability to be neutral enough for varying body constitutions, but warming and drying enough to neutralize the sickness and aid in the body’s recovery.
Here are some therapeutic benefits The Remedy brings:
+It contains powerful antiviral, anti-bacterial, antibiotic, and anti-microbial properties to destroy and inhibit the growth of pathogens.
+It fights respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore, dry, or raw throat, congestion, and soothes the lungs.
+It addresses fevers; Fevers are important during acute illness; it’s the body’s natural response to an invader, producing inflammation and heat in order the kill the virus or bacteria. While we don’t want to inhibit this fully, these herbs encourage the body to sweat, which does two things: helps rid the body of the bad stuff, & naturally cools the body down through sweating, without disrupting the necessary process of the immune system.
+It brings nourishment through it’s high amount of antioxidants & vitamins and minerals, being particularly high in Vitamin C.
+It calms the nervous system, which is always important during illness to encourage the body to rest.
+It soothes the digestive tract in the event of any tummy discomfort associated with the infection and can relieve nausea, indigestion, or generally upset stomach.
+it has pain relieving properties to address headaches or body aches and pains.
